Kiko - Silk Taupe (Lacke in Farbe ...und bunt!)

Hey guys!

This week's theme is taupe - one of those colors that come in so many shades that you sometimes have a hard time deciding whether what you've got really is taupe or not. Anyway, here's what I chose!

This is two coats and top coat. Not the most obvious holo effect, but that's fine. Makes it quite wearable at the office, I suppose.

  1. It's okay but I expected the holo effect to be stronger:-| Oh well.

    1. Yeah, it's not very strong. I didn't take a photo in more light though, like I did with Steel Grey. So the holo is stronger with more light! A nice color either way, though.

  2. Ach, ich finde ja auch diesen feinen Holoeffekt sehr schön :) Insgesamt sind die Kiko-Holos ja nicht sooo superauffällig holoig - aber das passt irgendwie auch!

  3. I keep seeing the word holo when it comes to nail polishes. What exactly does that mean?

    1. It's short for holographic! There's a few ways holographic nail polishes can look, and you'll see various terms used to describe them. For example, this is a scattered holo, because the holographic sparkling particles are scattered all over the place. And this would be a linear holo, because the holographic particles form a sort of line, most often a V-shape. There's different levels of strength to the holographic effect, too. Sorry if that was information overload ^^;

    2. You're info was perfect because I sure didn't know what it meant. Thanks, Andrea. :-)

  4. Wow, so ein tolles, zartes Taupe! Und ich finde es ja eigentlich sogar besser, wenn der Holoeffekt nicht allzu krass ist - dezent, aber fein, so muss es sein *reim*
